History
In 2001 we started with Siemens Mobile Acceleration as a corporate venture arm of Siemens Mobile.
In 2006 we performed a secondary transaction of the total Siemens fund with the new name Tempo Park Fund 1. smac | partnersadvises the fund with originally more than 30 ICT early-stage investments in the USA, Asia, Europe and Israel.<
In 2007 smac | partners executed a typical tail-end secondary venture capital transaction by acquiring a portfolio from Vertex Venture Capital, Israel. This fund, smac | partners Fund II, comprises nine ICT portfolio companies.
In 2008 smac | partners closed its third fund in 3 years, smac | partners Fund III, and so far has acquired stakes in ICT-companies in Asia, Finland, Israel, and USA.
smac | partners with its former focus on early-stage ICT start-ups with its deep domain expertise and its impressive operational background including an exceptional global network have provided all the necessary skills to set up industry leaders. This skill set is proven by guiding companies to become industry leaders in all regions and different industry segments, e.g. SVOX (text to speech/Switzerland), Mobixell (rich media mobile internet/Israel), Motionbridge (mobile search/France), Rock Mobile (music-related service provider/China), Actelis (carrier Ethernet over copper/USA).
The current active portfolio consists mainly of companies with revenues between $ 30m and $ 150m and 30% growth rate p.a.
